     MISSION:

Maxine Patterson School of Dance is the home our our award winning company,

Rhythm IN Motion designed for more advanced dancers

looking to further expand their dance education and experience.

Being a team member requires a higher commitment, dedication, passion, hard work, eagerness to learn, and desire to perform and grow as a dancer. These teams provides the opportunity to work with guest teachers and choreographers, perform at community events and annual recitals, and train throughout the season with master classes

and intensives to enhance their skills.

Company and Performance Team auditions are held in the Spring and Summer Intensive

THE COMPANY

The Company represents Maxine Patterson School of Dance at local and national competitions, conventions, and performances. These dancers have a focus and desire to commit themselves to the demands of Company while becoming well rounded in their training.

The Company involves:

  • attendance to 3 or more conventions/competitions

  • weekend rehearsals

  • master classes with guest instructors/choreographers

  • attendance to Summer Intensive

  • participation in Holiday Show and Annual Recital

  • participation in performances in the community

               The Senior/Teen Company requirements:

  • ages 12 & up (as of January 1st )

  • at least 3 years consistent dance training 

  • determination and commitment

                   The Junior Company requirements:

  • ages 7 & up (as of January 1st)

  • at least 2 years consistent dance training

  • determination and commitment

THE PERFORMANCE TEAM

The Performance Team represents Maxine Patterson School of Dance around the community performing at local events. These dancers commit to their training to become better dancers while enhancing their performance skills.

The Performance Team involves:

  • participation in performances in the community

  • master classes with guest instructors/choreographers

  • attendance to Summer Intensive

  • participation in Holiday Show and Annual Recital

  • attendance to dance conventions

                 The Performance Team requirements:

  • ages 6 & up (as of January 1st )

  • at least 2 years consistent dance training 

  • commitment to learning
